While self-care is an integral part of living a healthy, whole life for any human being, it's not the most correct answer. Sorry, I couldn't help but throw in a little NCLEX humor there!
Through my extensive work with healthcare working mothers, I've come to understand that while self-care is often touted as the solution to burnout, true transformation first begins with learning how to cultivating confidence and successfully building boundaries.
Many healthcare working mothers struggle to prioritize self-care because they haven't yet developed the mindset and skills necessary to set boundaries and say no without guilt. Jumping right into self-care without addressing these underlying issues can often lead to feelings of failure and frustration. When sitation arise challenging your commitment to self-care, it's often the first thing healthcare working momthers will sacrifice in an effort to attend to other peoples needs believing self-care is a luxury.
That's why my coaching approach prioritizes the development of confidence and boundary-setting skills as the foundation for sustainable self-care practices. By empowering healthcare working mothers to assertively communicate their needs, establish boundaries, and overcome limiting beliefs, they can cultivate the resilience and self-assurance needed to prioritize their well-being with confidence and conviction.
